Ok ok, I know I super neglect my blog...BUT I really have been busy with studies, etc etc..."but if you have time to play computer games, go online, do-other-things, then don't you have the time to blog??"...ok you got me, JUST LAZY I guess? my bad, no excuses, pardon s'il vous plait.

One day I had a conversation with some friends and the topic about having your interest as your profession came about. Some think that that's a good thing, while others feel that it would "kill" the interest/hobby...meaning that turning it into a job would make it boring (as it is done everyday), and it would no longer be seen as an interest but a "responsibility"...something that you cant do as and when you please anymore...

For me, I'm really glad that my future career would be something I actually have the interest and passion to do. Long ago, when i was still in school, i was interested in multimedia design because I like to work with photoshop, design some sites, etc...Then my Dad told me, to not confuse somthing that is your interest, with your career option. He didn't mean that an interest shouldn't become a job. What he meant was that your interest may not necessarily be a suitable option as a profession (taking into account availability of job markets, etc). Thanks to that, I reconsidered again, which was good since then I was young, haven't been fully exposed to what else the world can offer, and not fully matured yet (in way of thinking!).

Few years later, i was introduced to the idea of become a Dentist, and everything just clicked. I thought, "Yes, this is definitely what I want to do, what I can envision myself doing day-to-day". Something that I enjoy doing, something I have genuine interest in, something that I feel is worth doing, something that I can look forward to at the beginning of a new week.

There are some people I know that seem to dreaddddd Mondays and absolutely delight in the knowledge that Friday is approaching. Although I have yet to enter the career world, but I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't dread having to go to work knowing that I love what i do, and that makes me feel blessed to be given the opportunity to reach that ideal. For those who hate their job, i feel a bit "sad" for them because it must be very tiring and unpleasant to always complain about your profession and not have the heart to do it. Of course, not everyone feels that way up and up to that extent, and I also understand that not many are not able or given the opportunity to "choose what they want to do" as well. Which is why i feel very lucky to be given the opportunity to study and pursue my dream job: a Dentist *sparkle*

I hope that in the future, dentistry will not only become a profession to me, but also a lifestyle. I seriously can't wait to start this new chapter of my life =D but for now...let's see how well I do as a Dental student first (feeling the load yo!) XD

so...

i've been in imu for about..2 months now..what can i say?
i've met a lot of great new friends, and i really enjoy my time with them =D
however, i'm also experiencing a new and different level of "stress"...uni life is so different from a-levels, which seems like nth compared to what i'm going through now...but still, no regrets, even if i have to experience hell, i still want to do dentistry (prof toh: "feel the fire!") =P

oh btw, orientation was FUN...go 13omb! LOL...we may not be the no.1 team, but we still rock! =P

i'm enjoying our dentures (dental lectures) a lot! everything to do with dentistry has been very interesting for me...learning all about the head&neck, our museum sessions (which is a lot of fun), dental skill lab (which is even funner) and clinic sessions (ok, unofficial clinic sessions, but still fun! we've been doing face painting to help us identify specific locations of arteries, veins, nerves and muscles on the actual surface of the skin)...everything so far has been tough, but great! i love doing all these hands on stuff XD...DT109 rocks man, others may not realise it, but we're starting to become a very close knit group =D

its 3.45 pm, and i hear the melodious chirping of birds right outside my window...its a black and white bird...if i'm not mistaken, i think its a magpie

it's the 22nd of the 2nd month of 2009 today...

this marks the last day of my longgggggggggggg..ggg holiday since July 2008.

i know, how did time fly so fast??

i'm pretty excited to be finally starting my studies again, but kinda missing the free and easy relaxing days i've been having =P i'm not sure if my body is ready to be waking up early for 8 am classes yet, but oh well..

registration day @ IMU is tomorrow. the only other person that i know who is going to do dent with me is Zeng. i hope i can survive IMU's notorious ragging (so i've heard) but it could be fun =D

oh right, KL left on the 20th, so its back to ldr for us, but i reckon since this round is the 2nd year d, it'll be much easier to cope, which so far, it is =)

i hope that uni life will start with a blast...

Merry (belated) Christmas and Happy (belated) 2009 to all!!!

It's a new year, and new year calls for new resolutions! i have a couple of resolutions of my own, although i'm not sure why i bother...towards the middle of the year i would have forgotten them already =P anyways, here's a few ideals that i've set to resolve for 2009:
1) stop thinking unnecessary stupid things
2) (try) to exercise regularly and be fit(ter)
3) don't spend so much, don't buy "just because its cheap and i don't have it"(i've been improving my shopaholic cravings)
4) study hard and be the best (haha IF i can ever)
ok, i have many more, but i don't think its so vital to put them all up here, it'll just take up blog space.

i've been doing an attachment under Dr.Suresh @ Pristine Dental Care. its been pretty interesting, and i'm learning things which i believe will benefit me throughout my course studying dentistry and also in my career as a dentist. Observing Dr.Suresh (i think he's a great dentist as he truly cares for the patient's well being as a whole) has been quite fun for me =P since he's a specialist in cosmetic dentistry, most of the time i see cleaning cases, ortho cases, soome crown prep...last thursdays i had the chance to see an implant surgery =D it was pretty cool (no, i don't find the blood, etc disgusting). i feel quite lucky to be given the opportunity to do this attachment. i can see myself doing this, definitely.

i just went for my lunch break, and i bought my birkenstocks! i bought it now cuz once cny is here, cannot buy any shoes...

Recent Bakes and then some

my choc cuppies with choc glaze - being packed to take to the farewell/potluck at art's place

was in a rush and couldn't take a nicer pic of it, just grabbed the cam and snapped. got good reviews for this cupcake. will make again.

btw, i found this really pretty cupcake stand that i was eyeing at the wilton site (love wilton baking and deco products) and i found it here! i am now the proud owner~ it's really pretty to display cuppies~

Lavender Riesling (used Chardonay) Cheesecake with sponge base

the perfect sponge cake. really, it's very light

this didn't turn out quite as expected. the taste was there, the lavender and the wine with the rich mascarpone cheese (such expensive cheese! used abt rm50 worth of it), but the texture was too soft. suspect it to be the recipe, which stated to use 6 YOLKS but maybe should be 6 WHOLE EGGS. however, the sponge is a really good compliment to this cake (nv had cheesecake with a sponge base before) it balances the flavours well. ah welll, shall try it again one day.

For my cousins' birthday, my mum and i made a Banana Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, which was REALLY GOOD. it was a great cake, this recipe is definitely going under the MUST BAKE AGAIN file =D (sadly i didn't take a pic of it, and it was gone within the night, ppl coming back for seconds~)

I've been horrible with the updates for this blog...one word, lazy XP
so, let's talk abt some things that happened prior and after a-levels results were released

oh, i guess i should mention that BEFORE the results were released, we went to Bangkok/Pattaya! it was a blast, i had a reallyyyy good time, thanks a lot to the company i was with XD great trip, shopped till i ALMOST dropped (i should have bought more), and had 1 of the best trips i've ever had...pics are in facebook~

ok, so i can't really rmb everything that happened up till now...but i'll do my best..
(in no particular order)
1. byebye to leng. ='(

2. a series of sleepovers took place in aug and resumed in sept, of course that meant poker nights as well

3. karaoke-ing at redbox, and yes, that was followed by a sleepover (only mabs, weens and qings-had to add an 's' to fit in- plus sex and the city)

4. bday dinner for may at Amarin (right after we came back from thailand, i know, it's like we cant get enough of thai food XD but i'm not complaining...love thai!)

5. went to imu to confirm my offer for BDS (IMU-PDS) programme...teeth and gums, here i come! (ok, i didn't realise that would rhyme, honest!) *going to apply to nus as well

6. starting to work.

9. byebye to ro. byebye to may, i cried at the airport. byebye to weens, i didn't know she left when she did. byebye to art (my friend since form1, "Hi, i'm li qing!*extends hand*"), i leaked at the airport, not a flood, but a stream. ='(..missing u guys, our group only tinggal separuh (teaching bm has influenced my speech)

it's really sad to say bye to friends, but i'm sure we'll keep in touch...i'm not going to say sth cheesy like FRENS 4EVA, but i do hope so =)

couldn't control the emotions when i saw my results online just about an hour ago...my parents were shocked to see the tears, but it was pure tears of joy...i have never felt so happy in my life...i'm still recovering from slight shock and still taking it all in that i did it, i got it. i calculated and re-calculated just to prove that this isn't a dream. i quite speechless at the moment, i'm just so overwhelmed that all my efforts payed off and i now can really have peace of mind that i can pursue an education in dentistry. This is everything for me...

the anticipation yest was not too bad, and with all that rumours going around (MING HAN!) it didn't help ease the situation. i did remain as positive and confident as possible, but i had a small voice back in my head that really thought i'd get B for econs...come on man, it's ECONS! units 5 & 6! but i pulled through so i'm reallllllyyyyy relieved...=P

Thank you to all my teachers! Mr.Aru, Mr.Lim! Thanks for everything!

on behalf of all the physics stuwentsss of A49/group D, i would like to say thank you very much to Mr. Lim, our wonderful and dedicated physics lecturer...sir, you really helped us a lot through out the semesters and never gave up on us (eventhough you faked it often so that we'll feel bad and start studying harder, but you always reveal your motive of "being angry and scolding us", because you feel guilty for making us feel bad =P haha it actually ruins the motivation though once we know that you were only pretending...but thanks anyway XD )

sir, the ice lemon tea and mamee is the most precious ice lemon tea and mamee i've recieved, i was really em seh tak to eat and drink it =P but i did la in the end...haha...sir, we'll never forget your one of a kind analogies and examples, and all your signature phrases and grammar mistakes =) dont worry, we're not all literature students so you needn't feel intimidate =P

literally speaking, rainbows DO appear after the rain given that light difracts through water droplets creating that wondrous spectrum of 7 colours that we all come to know as : the rainbow...however our eyes are only able to see only a few colours clearly, not the full spectrum cuz of the difference in wavelengths...nvm, its all physics

and so ends another chapter of my life: college

studying a-levels at HELP has been one of the best times of my life, college was in its own ways more enjoyable than high school, although there are some things that we can only experience during our school years, and i appreciate all those memories and the people that i've come to know and love...

last paper i sat for was chem6, which was not bad...i still say no.3 was easy! haha, high 5's to all those who did combo 1,2&3 =P later we headed to 1u to catch a movie, we watched "made of honour" (omg, i was going to type "maid in manhattan" =P) which was pretty good, verrryyy similar to "my best friend's wedding" but this time we get to see patrick dempsey in a mini kilt flashing his unders =P but most of us were pretty tired, lack of sleep due to overtime study i suppose...

i guess the hardest part about ending college and moving on to uni is parting ways with our friends....leng to u.s.; art, km, rowern, wn to uk; i dunno who's going to aus though...some doing local as well i guess...i'm sure going to miss the lecturers too...especially Mr.Lim, my physics lecturer...ok, i'm not going to say anymore before i get teary-eyed, and those who know me will know that it can only lead to one thing tmr morning : bengkak-heavy like nobody's business-puffy eyes >.<

ah well, the next big thing to look forward to is the a-level's prom =) i think the theme is "AfterGlow"...i just hope that the music's great, the entertainment's great, the free goodies are great, the food edible, and the company enjoyable =)

oohhhhh yes and let's not forget about that bangkok trip coming up! hahaha i've never been to thailand, so i'm quite excited and dunno what to expect...need to start planning what to pack etc, and i cant wait for the shopping as well XD the trip will be even more enjoyable if "someone" can come along too =)

i just realised that now that coll is over and i'll probably only start uni next year, i have like half a year of free time on my hands...here's a brief list of the things that i want to do during this time:

pack up all my chem, physics, econs and maths notes (anybody want to make use of them? its kinda sad if i just throw them all away, what a waste of knowledge...)
try my hand at making a tiramisu. i found a recipe online that looks pretty easy and has gotten some good reviews, i think i'll give it a go...btw, girls (you know who you are) you guys still want to come my house and bake ar? if you all want then let me know la so we can discuss =)
oh i just rmb what i reallllyyyy want to do...play mahjong! yes yes, before all the kakis leave for overseas(i'm talking to weens and kmay here)...ok??? i didnt get a chance to play with you guys during cny =( i've been mahjong deprived!!
enroll for a wilton's decorating course, i love how wilton has all these tools that make decorating easy =)
get an attachment at a dental clinic.
get a part time job

that's all i can think of so far...there was another thing on my mind but it just slipped away and i cant rmb d...nvm la..

ok, that's enough ramblings for now, i'll be uploading photos that are long due the next time...

exams have already started...physics practical was OK...chem practical, i think i lost 5 marks because i literally didn't think (how was i supposed to know methyl ketone will oxidise after awhile...) and i really should have just stuck with my original observation, and someone should really smack me on the head with piles of chem prac books the next time i make the same mistake again (which i really hope wont happen, i.e getting A for chem as well so no *shudder* resit)...i somehow didnt manage to see the red lights, when i identified the iodoform test correctly, stating CH3COR present, but went ahead and drew butanal...goodness gracious me...

anyway, what's done is done, all i can do now is aim to do exceptionally well for chem5 and chem6b...

stats2 was ok, and it was surprising (and much to many people's relief) that no theory came out..i was so prepared and ready to answer any theory questions cuz i was memorising like crazy the night before..oh well =) there were 1 or 2 confusing questions, in which i think i screwed up the 2nd one...but overall it was also OK

*exhales* now i've got to study real hard for the remaining subs during this 2 week "break" in between...

oh right, apparently, i'm being "replaced" by chocolates...
i should have realised...should have read the signs....HE told me about it, he told me he always sees her at the supermarket...and he finally, he took her home...
i'll never look at another Tim Tam the same way again...

rmb last year...sometime mid-march, my phone decided to go for a "swim"??

i dunno if you guys rmb, but here's the "comic" i posted in the old post..

and it survived the previous round...

but somehow i have a feeling my phone is either accident prone or just cant get enough of H2O...

why? because this year, it decided to take a shower...under a running tap...*smacks forehead* (this was in my aunty's house btw)

luckily, i am an expert in this "phone kena water" situation, having went throught it last year...so immediately i took it out, wiped it dry with some tissue, removed the batttery (word of advice to anyone who drops their phone in the water, first and foremost, DO NOT press any buttons hoping to check if it's functioning, because this will cause your phone to short circuit from the inside, and then it will definitely be rosak, ok?)...where was i? yea, remove the battery, sim card, everything..wipe it dry, then use the hair dryer, set on cool, and blow dry it...then leave it overnight under the aircond...

however, my space/* button is slightly cacat now, have to press bit extra hard to get it to work...so it kinda disturbs my typing...may consider sending it for repairs, and at the same time change the keypad and shell...

i wonder what'll it be next year? spa? bubble bath? or worse, it may want to play in MUD...gross

i'm hopeless at updating...ok nvm

A few things that i rmb and feel like mentioning(i might have forgotten about some)

Trekathon
i don't know what made me join the trekathon cause i was obviously not going to race (given the fact that i am not fit with stamina less than my dogs)...but i did so for that i'm proud of myself =P haha, the night before the trekathon stef and i stayed over at kmay's house and arthur dropped by too to play mahjong...we watched Awakenings that night which starred Robin Williams and Robert de Niro (who was sooo awesome he's so good) and it was a good show, i liked it...then we mahjonged all night till about 3 am, arthur finally went home and we slept...next morning went for trekathon (stef and i really wanted to skip it to mahjong all day but we didn't) met ming han...kleng got lost during the trek and we all were worried but thankfully, she along with some others were successfully rescued =) later we all headed back to kmay's house and wei hoh (who didn't turn up for the trek) came..after a good shower and pizza we all sat down to watch Saw1 and Saw2...it was so psycho freaky...mahjonged a bit later and finally headed home

False Hope & Braces
yup, i cant rmb the day but i was SUPPOSEDLY to take off my braces and i was so excited and all that...and i brought my camera so we Braces Folk can take pics (me, kleng, ming han and ro wern)... then i went to my dentist at 5 pm, he was all ready to take the mould for retainers and then he said, "oh, there's a very small gap over there...we'll have to close it up 1st"...so potong steam man...haih...

on the brighter side, kleng took of her braces! yup, she came to coll in her new white shoes (only costs rm30+!) and wore a skirt =) we were all so excited~!

on the 22nd of Sept me, ro wern, arthur and kmay went to British Council to sit for our IELTS exam...we were like this nervous bunch =P and omg, a word of advice for anyone who is going to take IELTS in the future, DO NOT SPACE OUT FOR THE LISTENING MODULE and DO NOT THINK : "LET ME JUST READ/SKIM THROUGH THE PREVIOUS QUESTION AND CHECK IT" cause you'll just loose it! it's so so VERY IMPORTANT TO LISTEN AND PICK OUT YOUR ANSWER...right, the reading was ok, writing too...the speaking part was actually quite ok although i was real nervous before...although i might have been a bit too casual with the tester cause i had a few "um..." and "yea, and stuff like that" =P results are released on the 5th of oct, means this coming friday and i really hope i did good (please god, please)

kmay is a member of the YKLS =) i've been to one of their shows at the Actor's Studio (kmay wasn't a member then)...yup so they'll be performing at the Actor's Studio at BSC and it has already started yest...a bunch of us will be going on Sunday to support her =) we've all never heard her sing before =P well, maybe arthur has ;)

ok, so the day before yesterday (thursday) a bunch of us went to sarah's house for a "movie marathon"...

1st we had trouble locating the place...we ended up waiting outside another house on jalan setiakasih 8 for like 15 mins wondering "why isn't sarah opening up for us?" till we realised she lives in LAMAN setiakasih 8... sheesh =P

so, after a tour around the big house and pizza, us girls was so into johnny depp that we chose to watch "finding neverland", which of course turned out to be a wrong pick cuz the plot was a bit slow and most ppl were dozing off =P ( i still think johnny depp is an amazing flexible well-rounded actor)

so after an hour of the show we switched to "the break-up" (much to the guys delight because there was a scene where jen aniston's naked back profile was visible)

and then, it was MAHJONG time! haha

us kakis (kahmay stef and i) started the game...kahmay brought a super heavy 4 player mahjong set, but due to majority vote we played the 3 player mahjong (its popularity due to its faster speed, combos and points)

i'm making the transition from a "4 player mahjong" person to a "4 player AND 3 player mahjong" person...needs some time for me to get used to the points system and all the combos like "kangkang" (?) wu =P

hahaha i'm back!

ok ok, i was back like daysss ago...

sorry i've been lazy >.<>.<

and i'm peeling!!! got badly sunburnt on my shoulders...my bro said i was a lobster =P

so now i'm peeling...and its not nice... and i want my nice smooth shoulders back

anyway, redang was great...stayed at the redang beach resort... went snorkeling!!! that's my 1st experience...and it was amazing! totally awesome! its like a whole different world when you look down...and one of the resort ppl caught a sea turtle!! and i touched its fin!! so cool! he let it go in the end dun worry...

oh, and just outside the resort, in the sea there's this place that everyone can just go snorkeling on their own... so me, kahmay, weenie and jack went cuz we had nth to do...and we saw a baby shark!!! for real!! so coooolll

next day we went marine park, only arthur, weihoh, donny, kmay and i...and it was reaaaalllyyy beautiful..like even the super shallow parts there are already corals and fishies...we swam our way from the shallow to the deeper end...i was initially scared ofthe fishes like litteraly touching me...like i was swimming right through a school of them...i kinda freaked out at 1st but was fine later =P....it was amazing the moment we got the bread out to feed them they all came towards us, the stripped tiny one even the parrot fishes! so cool...and later we saw the biggest fish of all....it was like brownish and a bit ugly... the moment we saw it everyone (but me) had this unanimous thinking to chase it (but me) so for a small moment i saw feet and bubbles in front of me then i realised (finally) and caught up with them...the fish had these thick lips and after a moment chasing it, it just stopped, turned and stared at us...ok, freaky... we called it 'Angelina Jolie' (thick lips=jolie)....the life jacket was killing me though...it kept pulling me up, my armpits felt like they had friction burn >.<

back at the beach, we met up with the others and had a game of volleyball! our sad record is 15 =P but it was the wind and the ball (some ppl rented the real volleyball and didnt return it! selfish buggers)...if not we would have easily reached our goal of 20... then later went for a dip at laguna's swimming pool =P...played jimrammy, bluff (omg richmond) and murderer all night....slept after 3 am...next day packed up, bought souvenirs and had a fast game of 3 player mahjong before our ferry came...had lunch at some coffee shop in chinatown...played mikado sticks before boarding...and touched down at kl approx 5 pm...

it was a good trip...i miss redang

finally! the 1st semester's exams are over!!! and i have a month long holiday!!!

i hope i dont have to resit anything...

well, my last paper was econs which ended at 7.30, and as usual i dont have enough time! i end up writting too much... so my last answers aren't as complete as i'd like them to be...

anyway, after that i went out for mamak dinner with cass and fimy... i waited at cass's house for both of them to be back from mv...met kabilan! he's so skinny =P i like the waiters at nirvana, they're so funny

then yesterday i went out with kwee loong to mv, we watched pirates (yes i'm very outdated) which was a real nice movie...then we went shopping for my things: flip flops and a cap which i needed for my redang trip...we walked everywhere looking for the best choice at an affordable price (sorry kwee loong =P)...in the end, i settled on a cap from esprit and flip flops from

yup... today i woke at 12 noon! i devoted almost the entire day to packing...still some stuff left...had dinner at bsc, esquire kitchen... it's their last day! they're moving off somewhere else because of the increasing rental....sad, they serve one of my fav dishes, sze chuan style eggplant... =(

so i've been going back to college for those revision classes for physics and chem and its making me like even more stressed out...

i don't know why my physics2 is not good compared to physics1... when i answer it seems pretty ok but the marks don't tally with what i thought... guess i just need to do more more more work...

the past couple days i've been doing the ticket designs for prom and i'm pretty satisfied...did a few... one of the idea (the flaming girl) was thanks to kwee loong who found the pic and told me...thank you =)

omg chem is in exactly 1 WEEK! and i dont know how prepared i am....and econs and physics too! ...time flies...come to think of it its been 1 semester in college d... just the other day we were all stressing about spm and now we've completely enter a new stage and already complete 1/3 th course...i'm getting old

oh, and i'm wasting my nail polish....i keep putting them on and taking them off cuz i cant be bothered to wait for it to dry and redo them when its messed up...

today we had the c1 and c2 exams and i made myself totally unnecessarily nervous like freaking myself out...but it was ok..except i thought the c2 exam ends at 3.15 pm (actually its 3 pm) so i took my time to draw the sin graph...till ms.ting said "10 minutes left" did i realise..thank god i only had 1 more question to go so...=P

wed is my physics2 mocks (yea, we're slow) and i'm really tired.... went to blogthings.com to relax a bit...and i also went scouting for potential new blog skins and found some pretty good ones =P

didnt really celebrate though...just went to college as usual..it was a wednesday so i had a 5 hour break before lan...so i met up with the other 3 Khoos and had lunch @ La Bodega in bangsar...we were PIGS! approx 1 1/4 baskets of bread EACH!!! 7 tapas...but it was goooooodd .. we later walked around bangsar check out some clothes =P

later at night had dinner with kwee loong @ Alexis =) food was good but quite pricy...after that we walked around bv2 for a bit, then headed back to my place before his bro picked him up from there...

the day my heart broke...to celebrate my phone's 1 week old birthday...it decided to go for a swim..literally...i dropped it into the toilet bowl!! WAIT! the toilet bowl had NOTHING in it! its just WATER! just to make it clear...=P.....let me show you what happened:

but everything's fine now~ under my dad and kwee loong's advice, i left it to dry in the aricond room for at least 2 nights...just to let the insides be water-free...and it worked! thanks daddy, and kwee loong...if not my itchy hands that wanted to keep turning it on would have killed my phone for good...

i've porcastinated this post for so long i dont remember the dates anymore so, i'll just give a list of stuff that happened:

Student Council Applications for 2007/2008... soooo many ppl applied, which was expected, including myself (=P) no harm to try, i always say

candidates were selected to campaign for their respective posts (excluding me, yes i wasnt called back). candidates included (i'll only be a few mentioning names):

Ro Wern (marketing exco)
chrystal (social exco)
Kimberly (marketing exco)
Ann (social exco)

and so to name a few

elections...there was a good turn up of supporters, and as for the speeches some were ok but ohters were relatively very good... i still rmb Ro Wern's "it's not lazy, it's multilevel marketing" and Tian Huey's "money isn't the key to happiness...but money can buy you the key!" =P cute, and also everyone, including me, who chanted kar leng's name and i have never witnessed such a semangat speech XD. congrats to: KAR LENG for PRESIDENT, and RO WERN for MARKETING EXCO ( a straight deal =P)

had the 1st mock exam, econs unit 1...it was ok, but i was a bit long winded in a few questions costing me not enough time to use my brain to answer the last 2 questions... but surprisingly i scored full marks for those questions =P... i scored 40/50

had to come back to college eventhough we were supposed to have a 1 week brake because we had replacement and extra classes for physics and chem... =(

exams are so soon its so stressful... my exams are on the 21/5-maths C1 & C2, 6/6-Chem U1 & U2, 8/6-Physics U1 & U2, Econs U1 & U2

steffie organized a post exams trip to REDANG~! and i'll be going XD its a 3 days 2 nights trip and we cant wait~

May 5 - Honour's Day! eventhough there were some news saying matthews would scold us girls if we wore pants, i went ahead with pants anyway and no scolding so, its fine =P the event was held at the new hall, eventhough it was air-conditioned but with all the ppl it was still quite hot and stuffy (although it may be due to the fact that i am indeed a PUTERI LILIN). Pics were taken, everyone was happy, it was great to see old friends and teachers again. Oh, and i met kwee loong's mum for the 1st time =). After lunch at Klcc with my parents and after my parents finished doing what they wanted to do.. we went home so i could study (yes you heard correctly), study for my mocks this coming monday and tuesday...later at night we went to Souled Out to celebrate fimy's bday... there was SO MANY PPL.. not to mention there was another table celebrating a bday next to us...so the noise level was HIGH... i pity the waiters and waitresses each wearing purple crocs (donny i still think it looks like a toy) who had to bear with the crowd and noise...kwee loong's brother and friends were there too, but not with us... then kwee loong sent my bro and i home, yes we're his 1st passengers =P i can conclude that he is a safe and good driver XD

today, May 6- i'm alone at home and apparently banned from the tv cuz while my mum and my bro are at Klcc shopping, poor little me has to stay at home cuz MOCKS for econ U2 and chem 1 & 2 is TMR and phsy 1 and math 1 & 2 is on tuesday... not to mention i woke up 2 hours later than my planned time of 8 am, i feel a lack of energy and motivation..

have i left anything out? anything major? i hope not...

as we all know...spm results were released yesterday...

went to wms around 10.15...so exciting to see almost everyone again! omg, yean, shermaine, fimy, cass, gg, debbie and i together in school again, the 7 of us =D

it was really nerve wracking having to wait for matthews and gang to come out and announce the results, but they finally did and everyone was anxiously waiting with butterflies in their tummy (at least that's how i felt =P)

according to matthews, last year's batch of f5s had a higher percentage of students who scored 10As and above compared to the previous batch..yay us! haha

so...names were called starting from 13As...to 12...to 11...and finally 10...i was standing right in front with cass, fimy and geraldine...cass had already went upfront for the 11As batch...soon fimy went up for 10As...then my bro..then geraldine...and i was left standing ALONE (not really) and i was hell nervous...i was like shit! everyone but ME?!?...then finally, matthews called out WONG LI QING...i was like thank god!!! i couldn't help some tears (of joy) =P

kwee loong scored 10As too! congratulations!!! =D

congratulations to everyone for scoring well and doing their best!

so, i went to get my spm results slip and testimonial, etc from mdm gina, my homeroom teacher...and her belly is BIG now =P she's expecting a baby girl! congratulations mdm~

chatted with friends and teachers...mum was there and i guess i can say she's proud with my bro and i =) so is my dad~

in my sijil tamat persekolahan, there was 1 tiny mistake, my primary school was written as sek. jenis keb (C) kuen cheng 2...f.y.i i'm from sek. keb. bkt bandaraya and if i ever did had chinese education in my primary school years i wouldn't be half the banana i am now =P...so that had to be corrected

i think the official date for the release of the dreaded SPM results is march the 12th....

2 DAYS BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY! i hope it will be a GOOD birthday present for me...and my twin brother =P

man, i've forgotten all about it for so long, especially now that i'm already in college for 2 months...well i guess its good to score well for SPM, to maybe get some scholarship on colledge fees, for self satisfaction (and most certainly our parents' satisfaction, pride and "to-make-them-proud"), and for of course individual achievement...i really hope i do well...

so, i've got a moral presentation tmr on "teleological theory"...honestly i dont know how and what we're going to present...i've already just prepared my part...

so, what happened during the cny week?

well, apart from the usual visiting, and pigging out (DAMMMNN i ate A LOT!..,. annd still eating...=P)...i had coll on wednesday and thursday....went for malaysian studies on wednesday, supposed to be a 1 hr classs but after 15 mins she let us out (i knw what you're thinking, why did i bother??? attendance la...have to save the skipping for emergencies ^_~)

after coll on thursday, went to fimy's hse for open hse! haha...kwee loong came to help and followed me home so i can change and we can go to her hse via lrt...among the others who followed us by lrt were cass, arthur, my bro, wee nie and richmond...from sri petaling station we took a txi separately...kwee loong, wee nie, richmond and i took a taxi together...and our cab driver was lost! real annoying cuz he kept acting like he knew...anyway, at least we got there...i played MAHJONG! the beautiful game =P...met some taylorians...ate some food...took many pics (arthur, wee nie, cass...we cant stop cam whoring =Pp)....there were ppl watching tv (the holiday), playing cards, 4 ppl and 3 ppl mahjong, just chatting and having fun...omg, eng huat, wei jin and yin hseong like pro 3 ppl mahjong players man, they mahjong-ed all night! ahaha

so, overall it was great hanging out at fimy's open hse =]...thanks fimy for inviting me!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

yesterday had reunion dinner at my hse...good food, great company =D

after all the fun and laughter and my cousins, aunties and uncle has left, my mum decided to do some last minute cleaning up (vacuuming and moping)...tired man...this morning woke around 8.30 am, no time to do my nails properly, just plain red (which i removed ALL in the evening cause i didn't like the plain red)..went to my aunt's hse in pandan perdana, "Gong Xi, Gong Xi", then after lunch went to my grandma's hse and also visited my granduncle and aunt, collected some angpaos, chit chatted and ate =P and oh, guess what i found out? my uncle alvin who works at Zara can get 40% discount on shoes from nouvo! (i think that's the spelling =P) no more just staring, i can buy!!! so excited =P

today i only played 2 rounds of mahjong...and didnt win...haha...but i still love the game

my mum's sis and family are coming later tonight

today it was like sitting a rollercoaster

in the morning, it was going way down...let me tell you why:
1) mum locked her room door without giving me the keys while i was still asleep, causing me to not be able to get ready since some of my stuff were in her room...so i was late, or rather just in time, for coll
2) i dont know what made me think that my practical book was still with Ms. Ting, so i didnt find it odd that i didnt pack it in my bag, but when i entered the lab and saw everyone holding their practical book, only did i remember we have it...so, i had to borrow arthur's book, walk all the way from kpd D to wisma e&c to the photocopy shop and photostat 4 pages for experiment 6 & 7...i had to wait too, cause there were many ppl before me! and to make it worse it was HOT in there...
3) i had to repeat my experiment again cause of some silly mistake of opening the burrete instead of closing it causing my acid to be too much excess
4) stef, lynn, ming, wei lim and elaine went to mv, and arthur, kah may, kar leng and wee nie went to bangsar village during the 2 1/2 hr break, but i had to discuss the malaysian project, but AGAIN only kim and i ended up doing it cuz wei hoh went off to play basketball and ian didnt come...why do i bother?

then around this point the rollercoaster moved up, cause:
1) kwee loong came to help=D to see me...he came around 2.30 when i had to go for class, but surprised me by already waitng for me before i went to class =)
2) i spent 1 hr with him after class, we had some food, he was really hungry, we wanted to walk back to wisma help but it rained real heavy! after the rain becameless heavy, used my lab coat and sheltered a bit =P then my dad came and dropped him off at bangsar lrt
3) i was real happy to see him =) thank you kwee loong for taking the trouble to come

well, yeah that's the rough summary of my day

so far for our common group in help, we've had RED day, CLUB SHIRT day (for some of us =P), and CASUAL CORPORTE day...next is the PINK day for valentine's...i heard @ taylor's they have all these days too (for ICPU at least) and the winner with the best look gets to win prizes and stuff (i knw because my bro told me...to day was shade, as in sunglasses, day)

so, life still good...college is fun thanks to great friends including the new ones =)

nothing exciting happens to me...

really. no kidding

everyday its either i wake at 6.45 a.m. if college starts 8 a.m. , or 8.30 a.m. if i have classes at 10 a.m...then its basically just classes, meeting up with friends, eat (usually rotiman), tuesdays, wednesdays and thursdays i hv lan subs (bore)...its really not that bad, but a little colour and variety would be nice..

physics has to be the most stress subject (so far), i mean, we've been tested for about 5 time (including today's test)...and Mr. Lim, our lecturer looks disappointd with our results, and often he compares us and separates the good from the bad, which sort of creates competition? maybe...we're always being sized up, which i know is sort of good to push us to score better, but i'm never really the 1 to enjoy heavy competition...well, as long as i keep up my standard, improve etc i'll be fine i guess...=P

today my 1st class was physics, lab period, and just as m mum was about to send me to college, she realized that he locked all her keys including her car keys in the room...haha..had to get my uncle to send us the extra key (which is kept safely elsewhere)...i thought i was going to be lat so i smsed Mr. Lim...this is the sms conversation >>

the year is 2007...my last post was on April,2006...well at least i'm not a year late (well, almost =P)

so, what's new? spm's over (btw, it was ok except i thought i was dying during the bio papers)...college life has officially started..i'm in HELP uni coll btw...not bad, quite a number of ex-WMS here...none of my clumps are here: cass and fimy in taylor's, yean in ns (currently), debbie and maine are probably heading to mc, hannah not sure, ju still in china, and i'm in help...

btw, i celebrated the new year with kwee loong, we had dinner in my grandma's hse then walked up to telawi...i was trying not to get sprayed but in the end it was unavoidable =P

i'm fitting in quite nicely in college, group FDED! haha...last tuesday all of us wore RED! it was arthur's idea but the fellar wore ORANGE! haha...check us out>>

its been more than a year...

i'm now 17, and 2006 is the most important year of my whole schooling life...why? cause spm is in 6 months time...=P

1st of all,let me apologize for procastinating...

let me try to fill in a year's events...

exams not too bad, post exams activities were good, more work, play, work, play...went shanghai with cass last year...attended a couple of interact ICC meetings, and the most recent was the ILTS (interact leadership training seminar), and our school won 1st place in some project competition...=D

my mid-term exam is coming, i'm not prepared...sport's day just ended, and i'm very happy cheerleading went well =D...upcoming recent event is the interact club international understanding day, we're doing ROME...cass and i went to the Italian Embassy yesterday to collect some brochures and videos, it was quite a fun and interesting trip =P...

5/2 is the date to rmb this year...=)..

HK was fun wei!!!! but sadly, stuff not as cheap as i tot...their standard off living is like super high wei...even waitresses earn HK$6000 a mnth! clothes frm shops along the street dat are like not-branded can cost frm 100-300++ RINGGIT!!!!!!! but i did buy a few clothes n shoes n the GLAY : BLUE JEAN cd!!!!!!!!! muahahahaha....lol...HKies are VERY TRENDY! all da girls hv dat japanese looking haircut...da guys dress all like wat i saw in shizuoka...n da girls also wear shorts n stockings like da japanis do! but in japan its mostly pants n skirt 2geder...heheh

guangzhou is like, HUGE! but quite polluted...loads of historical stuff...right next 2 our hotel, dey discovered dat da area used 2 b an EMPEROR'S SUMMER PALACE wei!! ahaha...dere were like construction goin on...becoz we were next door, we cud c some of the stuff dey found, pathwalks, pottery...woah...=P...Beijing Street is like, full of shopping! but not VERY cheap lar...n not as trendy as HK...but i wanted 2 buy dis shoe for RM20!!!!! but dey din hv my size anymore!!!! aiyo...

fimy and i hv created another blog! yeap, jus da 2 of us. that blog is all abt our experience during the student exchange trip to Shimada, Shizuoka (Japan)!!!! yeap! its a very detailed(i hope) description of wat happened starting frm day 1!!! and dere r pics as well! fimy downloaded the "hello" prgrm so she's been uploading pics and all dat...so, check it out!

since coming home frm Shimada, i've been keeping in touch with joshua and yuya (2 of our jap frens) more den da rest because dey both hv msn..but nowadays, only joshua comes online...i dont know wat happened 2 yuya...hmmm...

hello!

came back from the Japan trip yesterday....i feel happy... and sad =(....it was a really really FUN trip! we stayed at the Shimada Gakuen High School (it was a boys school) dormitory. we visited the school, went around Shizuoka, Tokyo Disneyland....it was an awesome trip!!!! besides the students, Atsuko Kawabe (travel guide), Kenta (some 19 yr old hu loves soccer and is goin 2 Australia-i think) and Nahim (a Pakistani hu studied in Japan-he's in his late 20s, i think =P)...

made many great frens...daiki, joshua, helder, hirokazu, hiroto and youjiro (twins), yuya, kenta (i include him as my fren, although we hanged out more with the shimada boys) and many more....at the dorm, we stayed up all nite talking, playing cards, eating, having fun...

i miss all of them!!!! i miss the experience and hated that it had to end so soon...i wished it lasted for a month...=(...its really sad when you know that there might never be a chance for us to meet them again...aiyo...sad lar...hope we can stay in touch!

today, dere was a solo and group singing competition. my bro took part in both. he sang dat "love medley" frm Moulin Rouge with Nichola. Dey were awesome. den gg n cass sang a combination of 3 songs : "once upon a december", "breakaway" and just a bit of the "in the shadows"...deir version was really funny. at the end of their performance, dey did a White Chicks pose ^_^!!! lol...very funny

it's goin 2 b half-day 4 skool frm now until da hols...which means skool ends at 1pm instead of da usual 3.15pm. but cass, gg, fimy n 1 stayed until 3.15pm 2 practice. we had help frm mdm anne. tml dere'll b a full-dress rehearsal o_O....but we're gona stay back again until 2.30pm 2 practice sumore...^^

at 7pm, my mum took cass n 1 2 priya's hse so dat her aunt, hu usually wears saris 4 brides, can help us wear da sari n tack in down so dat it'll b easier 2 wear. we were standing 4 quite awhile =P...our saris looked really nice with the help of priya's aunt. we had 2 tie it oursleves later so dat we cud get used 2 it n b able 2 help fimy n gg in Japan. of course, it wasnt as nice as the way priya's aunt wore it 4 us, but we did an ok job! ^_^....i'm so proud! ahaha....

well, i got back at abt 10pm...i wore da sari hme so dat i cud show my dad n bro....\

it's been a really tiring day! this morning, my fren's aunty was supposed 2 come 2 my hse 2 help me wear the sari, so i got up at 8 am just in case they would call early and decide 2 come early. but i got a call at abt 9 am saying that they couldn't make it and changed it 2 moday evening. but it's cool...=P

den at 2 pm, my mum went 2 fetch cass, gg and fimy(hu was at the lrt bangsar st. waiting with adrian) so that we could go 2 mdm anne's hse to practice the indian dance. my bro, zhi, tagged along.

at mdm anne's hse, it was really fun! lots of jokes, dancing, singing and laughter!!! it was really great. we even managed to finish the dance! yay! during break, mdm prepared tuna sandwich, nuggets and mini chicken sausages. it was really great. we all had a great time! ^_^

dere were 2 dogs at mdm's hse. one was a mix dog named Ban-ti(i think) which is 12/13 yrs old! another was a huge rotweiler called Rover. Rover is 3 yrs old, but really huge.

just came back actually. really tired...=P...that's all for today! bye ^^

hihi to all frens!

its already the end of october! PMR is finally over! can u believe it??? at the start of 2004, all of us were like, "omg, 9 more months to the big day!"...and now, we are soooo FREE!!!!! yay! =P
now that we have nothing to do in school, except play games and all that, it's been really boring...school hols starts in a week and after that, there's goin 2 b a few goodbyes said to all those leaving msia...but no worries, coz we can all still keep in touch ^_^

november is just around the corner...on the 3rd, cass, gg, fimy and i will be heading of to tokyo, japan. can't wait! the 4 of us are following this educational trip to tokyo with 26 other students and 5 teachers. it's too bad that the rest of the CLUMPS who are in mc couldn't join us...i nearly couldn't go too if it weren't for all the begging i did to get my dad to let me go...and also my bro "scarificed" and sed dat he wont b goin so dat i cud go (tq)..and also my mum hu helped me ask my dad...=P...so i'll be flying off in 4 days time...and i'm not packed yet! i'm not even sure i got all the stuff i need to bring there! god, i'm damn lazy....

the 4 of us have to prepare some traditional performance to show the other students there in tokyo...so we are going to the an indian dance...practice has been really fun, lots of butt-shacking and laughter...thank god we're getting help...we've been dancing our butts off for the whole week! now my whole body's aching all over....to make it worse, i got slammed on my mouth by some girl's hand during the inter-class netball tournament...my lips got cut by my braces and now i have 2 terrible ulcers! damn pain! but gg told me 2 put this "kenalog" on it and it'll heal real fast, so i went out 2 buy it...it's pretty expensive coz for a small tube, it's rm16...but my ulsers are better so its ok...^^
